Fish Factory

Making boats and shipping related industries were the first to develop since Hong Kong was a fishing port. The Cheung Wah Industrial Building was built in 1969, it was a typical example of factory buildings back then.

 

For this project, we here propose an adaptive retuse analysis of Cheung Wah Industrial Building, which is the idea of the urban fish farming. It was a result of collective memory and the re-definition of cultural identity of Hong Kong.
